When you drive your car, there’s always a risk that someone might try to take your steering wheel cover. Why? Because it can be a convenient way to access the controls of the car. In this blog article, we will show you how to take off your steering wheel cover without damaging it. We will also provide some tips on how to keep your steering wheel cover in good condition and protect it from theft.

Materials

Materials:
-Tire iron
-Steel wool
-Lint free cloth or a plastic bag

Instructions:
1. Remove the steering wheel cover by heating the iron until it’s very hot, then using the steel wool to clean the cover. Be sure to get into all the crevices and corners.
2. Once the cover is clean, use a lint free cloth to dry it off. Don’t use any chemicals or excessive heat on the cover, as this could damage it.
3. Reinstall the steering wheel cover by following the same steps as before.

Tools

1. Find the screws that secure the steering wheel cover to the steering column. There are usually four screws, two on either side of the cover.

2. Remove the screws by hand or with a screwdriver.

3. Gently pull the cover off of the steering column.

4. Replace the cover if it is damaged or if you want to change the look of your car.

Instructions

If your car has a steering wheel cover, remove it before proceeding. The cover is attached by two Phillips screws on the left and right sides of the wheel. Use a phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws. Once the screws are removed, pull the cover away from the wheel. The cover can then be discarded or saved for later if needed. If the cover is not removable, gently pry it off of the wheel using a flat-head screwdriver. Be careful not to break or damage the underlying plastic wheel spokes or hubcap!
