First, turn the car off and wait 10 minutes before trying to start it again. Next, remove the battery cover and locate the battery. Carefully unplug the battery cable. Finally, plug the battery cable back in and reattach the battery cover. If you’re having trouble resetting the temperature gauge, you can also try spraying WD-40 into the cooling lines near the engine block or around any hoses leading to it.
