How To Find My Radio Id

Radio ID is a unique identifier assigned to radios by the broadcasting authorities. With it, users can receive programming without having to identify themselves each time they tune in. If you own a radio and use it regularly, it’s likely that you’ve run into trouble at some point. Maybe you were trying to listen to a station that you know broadcasts in your area, but couldn’t get reception because the ID was blocked. Maybe you were trying to find a station by name but couldn’t remember the ID for the one you wanted. How to find your radio id

If you don’t know your radio id, you can find it using the following steps.

1. Access the MyFord TouchTM screen and select “Settings.”

2. Select “Vehicles” from the menu bar on the left side of the screen and then select “Radio ID.”

3. On the right side of the screen, you will see a list of all your installed radios. Find your radio and click on it to open its settings.
Below is an example of how to find my radio id if my Ford Escape has a built-in CD player:

The next step is to enter in your vehicle’s registration (VIN) number into the text field located at the bottom of your Radio ID settings window as seen below:

After entering in your VIN number, hit submit to save your changes and return to main Ford TouchTM screen. You should now see that your Ford Escape listed under “Owned Vehicles” with its corresponding radio id as seen below:

How to change your radio id

If you want to change your radio id, you will need to access your car’s settings. There are a few ways to do this:
-If your car is equipped with an LCD screen, you can use the menus to change your id.
-You can also use a USB cable to connect your phone or computer to your car and change the id that way.
-If your car does not have an LCD screen or if you do not have access to the car’s menus, you can change the id using a code. To find out how to code your car, visit the manufacturer’s website.
